<p>Hey sweet friend,</p><p>Some days, don't you just feel like everything is crumbling? Like no matter how hard you try to hold it together, something else breaks. Your relationships are strained. Your finances are a mess. Your health is failing. Your dreams feel impossibly far away. And you're standing in the middle of it all wondering, "Where is God in this?"</p><p>If that's where you are today, I need you to hear this: feeling broken doesn't mean you are broken beyond repair. And it definitely doesn't mean God has walked away.</p><h1 id="e04f2f67-cd9d-4046-9685-788f15656a73" data-toc-id="e04f2f67-cd9d-4046-9685-788f15656a73" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">The Lie We Believe When We're Hurting</h1><p>When life falls apart, we often make a dangerous assumption: that our circumstances reflect God's feelings about us. We think, "If God loved me, this wouldn't be happening." Or "I must have done something wrong to deserve this." Or worse, "Maybe I'm just too much of a mess for God to bother with."</p><p>Can I tell you something? Those thoughts aren't truth—they're lies whispered by an enemy who wants you to feel alone in your pain.</p><p>The truth is far different, and it's found throughout Scripture in the stories of people who felt just as broken as you do right now.</p><h1 id="25a95af2-7935-4750-989d-0d1b55ffad2e" data-toc-id="25a95af2-7935-4750-989d-0d1b55ffad2e" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">God's Pattern: Meeting Us in the Rubble</h1><p>Think about the Israelites. They were enslaved, beaten down, hopeless. Exodus 2:24-25 says, "God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant... God saw the Israelites and was concerned about them."</p><p>He heard. He remembered. He saw. He cared.</p><p>Or consider David, who wrote in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."</p><p>Not distant. Not disappointed. Close. Right there in the mess with you.</p><p>When you feel like everything is falling apart, God isn't up in heaven shaking His head at you. He's moving closer, leaning in, whispering, "I've got you."</p><h1 id="c269deb8-72fb-459b-bb0c-3cbc2d2da8d3" data-toc-id="c269deb8-72fb-459b-bb0c-3cbc2d2da8d3" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">Jesus and the Broken Things</h1><p>Here's what I love about Jesus: He never ran from broken people or broken situations. He walked straight into them.</p><p>He touched lepers when everyone else kept their distance. He spoke to the woman at the well who'd been through five marriages and was living with a man who wasn't her husband. He chose a tax collector hated by his community. He restored a woman who'd been bleeding for twelve years. He wept with Martha and Mary when their brother died.</p><p>In Matthew 11:28, Jesus extends this invitation: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."</p><p>Notice He didn't say, "Get your life together first, then come." He said come as you are—weary, burdened, broken, exhausted. Come exactly as you are right now.</p><h1 id="b2b3d951-75e1-449f-b519-a84903d5ef0e" data-toc-id="b2b3d951-75e1-449f-b519-a84903d5ef0e" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">What to Do When You're in Pieces</h1><p><strong>Bring Your Broken Pieces to God:</strong> You don't have to pretend with God. He already knows. Psalm 56:8 tells us that God keeps track of our sorrows and collects our tears in a bottle. He's not afraid of your pain, your anger, your questions, or your doubts. Bring them all to Him. Be honest. Get real. He can handle it.</p><p><strong>Stop Trying to Fix Everything Alone:</strong> One of the biggest traps when life falls apart is thinking you have to figure it all out by yourself. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stop striving and start surrendering.</p><p><strong>Look for God in Small Things:</strong> When everything feels dark, train your eyes to look for God's small mercies. A text from a friend at just the right moment. An unexpected moment of peace. Provision you didn't see coming. Lamentations 3:22-23 says, "Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning."</p><p><strong>Let Others Carry You: </strong>This season might not be the time for you to be strong. Let your community hold you up. Galatians 6:2 says, "Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Being vulnerable enough to let others help you isn't weakness—it's wisdom.</p><h1 id="4007e143-3292-4502-ab7f-70e0c66eeb91" data-toc-id="4007e143-3292-4502-ab7f-70e0c66eeb91" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">The Purpose Hidden in the Pain</h1><p>I'm not going to tell you that everything happens for a reason or that God caused your pain to teach you something. Life in a broken world means broken things happen. But I will tell you this: God is a master at bringing beauty from ashes.</p><p>Romans 8:28 promises, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."</p><p>Notice it doesn't say all things are good. It says God works in all things for good. There's a difference. Your pain isn't good, but God can work through it, reshape you through it, and ultimately bring something redemptive from it.</p><p>You might not see it today or even this year. But one day you'll look back and see how God was weaving a story of redemption through the broken pieces you thought were beyond repair.</p><h1 id="ebe2ad73-6f95-4343-a43c-6d5014aa38f5" data-toc-id="ebe2ad73-6f95-4343-a43c-6d5014aa38f5" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">When You Can't See the Way Forward</h1><p>Maybe you're reading this and thinking, "That's nice, but I still don't know how I'm going to make it through tomorrow."</p><p>Friend, that's okay. You don't have to see the whole staircase. You just need enough light for the next step.</p><p>In Psalm 119:105, David writes, "Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." Not a floodlight illuminating the next five years. A lamp. Just enough light for where you're standing right now.</p><p>So take the next breath. Make it through the next hour. Do the next right thing in front of you. That's enough for today.</p><h1 id="eea2e21b-90db-46ea-a1d7-37e83c8cdfd7" data-toc-id="eea2e21b-90db-46ea-a1d7-37e83c8cdfd7" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">You Are Held</h1><p>Here's what I need you to know in the deepest part of your heart: you are not falling apart alone. You are held.</p><p>Isaiah 41:10 says, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."</p><p>Uphold. That word means to hold up, to support, to sustain. When you feel like you're crumbling, God's hand is underneath you. You might feel like you're falling, but you're actually being held.</p><p>The same God who holds galaxies in place is holding you together when you feel like you're coming undone.</p><h1 id="edb52c4a-8ceb-4c58-b7a7-00ceb847d9dc" data-toc-id="edb52c4a-8ceb-4c58-b7a7-00ceb847d9dc" style="font-size: 32px; font-weight: 600; line-height: 1.2;">This Isn't the End of Your Story</h1><p>Whatever is falling apart in your life right now—your health, your relationships, your finances, your dreams—it's not the final chapter. God is still writing. He's still working. He's still present.</p><p>You might feel broken, but you're not beyond repair. You might feel forgotten, but you're constantly on God's mind. You might feel alone, but you're surrounded by a love that won't let you go.</p><p>Hold on, beautiful one. The God who makes all things new is already at work in you.</p>
