I've heard some Christians say self-care or self-love is toxic, selfish or evil.&nbsp;Blimey!&nbsp; What's wrong with people?!&nbsp;First of all, our body is the temple of the beautiful, the gorgeous, the amazing Holy Spirit.&nbsp; If you're not looking after yourself, you're trashing His house!&nbsp;Second of all, these Christian "gurus" that say these things are all dolled up to the max, wear nice clothes, shoes etc.&nbsp; Now personally, I don't think there is ANYTHING wrong with that but just SHUSH if you do that but blast others for doing it!&nbsp; How very pharisaical of you.&nbsp;Thirdly but not lastly (I could do this all day!), we are to love others AS OURSELF.&nbsp; If we keep going round bleating on about how we're not worthy, how we're not enough, how pitiful we are, how broken, how weak yada yada yada, then we haven't gotten hold of the truth that the enemy doesn't want you to grasp….we are STRONG and we can do ANYTHING through Christ who lives in us.&nbsp; And that brings me on to a fourth point (I told you, I could do this all day!)….Fourthly, we have Jesus, the Holy Spirit AND Father God living WITHIN.&nbsp; We are NOT separate from them and that separation teaching is from the pit of hell.&nbsp; So yes, once joined to them we ARE worthy, we ARE enough and we are NO LONGER viewed as sinners (except by those who still want to live by pharisaical standards or to whom the truth has not illuminated yet).&nbsp;Self-care and self-love involve taking time out and before you get holier than thou and say, yes but you can only do it if you are praying or worshiping, take a look at my fourth point again!&nbsp; We are NOT separate from God!&nbsp; Whatever you're doing, He is there.&nbsp; You can choose to acknowledge Him in whatever you're doing.&nbsp;You're self-care or love might be baking, reading fiction, exercise, massages, facials - whatever allows you that time out to decompress in the way that suits YOU.&nbsp; Don't worry, He's still there and He's NOT mad at you!&nbsp; He loves you.&nbsp; Not with bigger boobs or a bigger bum (my peeps will get that reference)!The guilt and shame that you might be feeling aren't from Him, they got washed away at the cross, so beautiful woman of God, you continue with your self-care and you love yourself because He cares for you and He loves you.
